St. Martha the Dominator began her life in Bethany where she was a follower of Jesus Christ and his teachings. After Jesus' death & resurrection, she left for France, and according to legend, she was able to subdue a dangerous and deadly dragon with only holy water and a cross. Because of her ability to dominate and defeat this seemingly invinicible foe, she was given the name St. Martha the Dominator.
St. Martha is the patron saint of servers, housewives, cooks, caretakers, domestic workers & those in the hospitality industry (although anyone can call upon her). St. Martha has a special fondness for those that are making sure everything is running smoothly behind the scenes, caring for others & their comfort before their own.
When to call upon St. Martha
St. Martha is extremely helpful with difficult or abusive people and/or situations. She is there to help those with especially cruel employers or bosses.
When you petition Saint Martha, be sure to establish a relationship with her first, before making your request. She loves offerings of white flowers, perfume, water and sweet breads. In her case you will need to give her the offerings before asking for her help. Your petitions must be just and fair or she will not respond. Also in the case of financial need, she will only provide you with enough to get you out of a tough situation and will not provide large amounts of wealth.
