Moon & Star Brass Chimes

Moon & Star Brass Chimes combine celestial symbolism with the beautiful sound of traditional brass bells. Also commonly known as witch bells, these decorative chimes measure approximately 9 inches long from the end of the chain to the bottom of the longest bell and can be displayed in several different ways throughout your home or spiritual space.

What Are Witch Bells?

Witch bells are bells or chimes incorporated into folk and contemporary spiritual practices for protection, cleansing, ritual work, and creating intentional space. Bells have a much broader history in religious and ceremonial traditions around the world, where their sound has been used to mark sacred moments, accompany prayer, call attention, and signal transitions.

Three Ways to Use Your Brass Chimes

Hang Them on a Door: Place the chimes on or near a doorknob so the bells sound when the door moves. Beyond their traditional protective symbolism, this also provides a practical audible signal when someone opens the door.

Add Them to an Altar or Sacred Space: Bells are traditionally incorporated into many spiritual practices, and some contemporary practitioners use their sound during spirit work, prayer, offerings, or rituals. These Moon & Star chimes can be hung near an altar or used simply to add celestial symbolism to your sacred space.

Use Them as a Wind Chime: Hang the brass chimes in a suitable covered outdoor area where moving air can gently ring the bells. Their moon and star design makes them equally appealing as celestial décor even without a spiritual purpose.

Moon & Star Symbolism

The moon has long carried symbolism surrounding cycles, intuition, change, mystery, and the passage of time, while stars have traditionally represented guidance, hope, direction, and light within darkness. Together, the celestial motifs make these chimes especially fitting for lunar altars, witchy décor, spiritual spaces, or anyone who simply loves moon and star imagery.
